Content scheduler - LinkedIn posts, banners, photos, and text formatting

Outbound only works at full strength when paired with a content engine. The Content tab in SocialScalr handles the publishing side: scheduled posts with calendar view, banner creator, profile photo tool, a LinkedIn text formatter (because LinkedIn doesn't support real markdown), auto-comment rules, and a media library.

What's in the Content tab

  1. Post composer - write a LinkedIn post with character counter, mobile preview, image attachment, and "see more" truncation indicator.
  2. Calendar view - drag-and-drop scheduled posts across the week/month. Slot recommendations for highest-engagement times.
  3. Banner creator - 1584x396 LinkedIn cover image generator with background, overlay, colours, drag-and-drop text and draw.
  4. Profile photo creator - circular crop tool with background-fill, borders, branded ring colours.
  5. LinkedIn text formatter - Unicode-bold / italic / monospace generator (because LinkedIn strips real formatting).
  6. Auto-comment rules - automatically comment on posts that match keyword + author filters. Operates on your 1st-degree network.
  7. Media library - upload once, reuse across posts. Auto-resizes for LinkedIn's preferred dimensions.

The post composer

Calendar view

Drag-and-drop scheduled posts across a 7-day or 30-day calendar. Click any empty slot to compose. Recommended slots are highlighted based on when your audience is most active (SocialScalr's smart send-time analyser data).

Common pattern customers use: batch-write 8-10 posts on Sunday, drop them on Tue/Wed/Thu 9am slots, forget for the next two weeks.

Banner creator

Built-in editor for the LinkedIn cover image (1584x396px). Capabilities:

Profile photo creator

Smaller tool but used by many customers in onboarding:

LinkedIn text formatter

LinkedIn's post composer does not support standard rich-text markup. No italic, no bold, no code. The text formatter generates Unicode equivalents that render across LinkedIn's web + mobile clients:

Paste text β†’ pick style β†’ copy the Unicode-rendered output β†’ paste into LinkedIn composer. Note: Unicode characters can affect screen-reader accessibility, so use sparingly for headlines and key phrases only.

Auto-comment rules

Define rules that comment on matching posts automatically:

Most operators use this carefully - generic auto-comments fail loudly. The high-value use case: auto-engage with a specific list of 20-30 ICP people whose content you genuinely care about, with comment templates that read as a curious peer.

Media library

Upload images once, reuse across posts. Auto-tags by aspect ratio so you can quickly find the right asset. Storage: 500MB on Starter, 5GB on Pro, 50GB on Agency.

Why content + outreach in one tool

Three reasons it's bundled:

  1. Acceptance compounds with feed presence. Cold connection requests have 28-32% baseline acceptance. The same requests to people who've seen your posts twice in the last 2 weeks: 45-55%.
  2. Reply rate compounds with credibility. Warmed contacts who've engaged with your content reply at 2-3x the rate of cold contacts.
  3. Inbound DMs become a meaningful pipeline source. By month 3 of a consistent content cadence, inbound DMs typically account for 20-40% of all booked conversations.

Splitting content into a separate $20-30/mo tool (Buffer, Hypefury, Taplio) made sense before SocialScalr; the bundling math is now obvious for most operators.
