Building a campaign
A campaign is the unit of outreach in SocialScalr. It bundles a target list, a connection note, optional follow-ups, and the daily limits the extension will respect.
Targeting
Three ways to load people into a campaign:
- LinkedIn search URL - paste any search you've already filtered. The extension scrapes results page by page during its scrape window.
- Profile URL list - drop a list of
https://www.linkedin.com/in/...URLs. - CSV import - upload a spreadsheet with email + LinkedIn URL columns to match existing contacts.
Connection notes
Write your note like a real message. Use merge fields to personalise:
{{first_name}}- first name (or "there" if unknown){{company}}- current company{{title}}- current job title{{location}}- city / region
200 character cap. LinkedIn now hard-limits the personalised note to 200 characters. SocialScalr will warn you in red if your rendered note exceeds it for any lead.
Follow-up sequences
Add up to 4 follow-up messages, each with its own delay (in days). The sequence stops automatically when:
- The lead replies (their reply lands in your Inbox).
- The lead disconnects or is removed.
- You manually pause the campaign.
A/B testing
In the note editor click "+ Add variant" to test 2-4 different opening notes. SocialScalr rotates them evenly and the Insights tab shows acceptance rate per variant so you can pick the winner for your next campaign.
Reading results
The campaign detail page shows:
- Acceptance rate - accepted / sent. Healthy is 25-45%.
- Reply rate - replied / messaged.
- Pipeline by stage - new, invited, connected, messaged, replied, won, lost.
- A/B leaderboard - if you ran multiple variants.
