The five things that go wrong most often, and how to fix them in under a minute.
"My extension isn't picking up campaigns"
- Open the extension Options page (right-click the extension icon → Options).
- Confirm Backend URL =
https://socialscalr.com. - Confirm API token matches the value in Settings & billing.
- Click "Test connection" - you should see "Connected as <your-email>".
- Open a LinkedIn tab. The extension heartbeats roughly every 30 seconds.
"Sign-in says invalid credentials but I'm using the right password"
- Check the email - did you confirm it after signup? Look for a SocialScalr confirmation email.
- Try forgot password to set a fresh one.
- Clear browser cookies for socialscalr.com if you've recently changed your password.
"My card was charged but my plan didn't upgrade"
Cards charge first, plan upgrades on the Square webhook. The webhook normally lands within 5 seconds but can take up to a minute. If after a minute your plan still says "free":
- Refresh the dashboard.
- If still wrong, email [email protected] with your payment receipt - we can upgrade you manually in seconds.
"A campaign is running but no actions are happening"
- Check your daily limits - you may have already hit them for today (resets at midnight in your local timezone).
- Make sure LinkedIn is open in another tab. The extension drives your real LinkedIn UI.
- Check that the campaign status is "active" (not paused).
- Check that you haven't been temporarily restricted by LinkedIn - try sending an invite manually in LinkedIn to confirm.
"Scheduled post didn't go out"
- The browser tab needs to be open or wake from sleep within ~30 minutes of the scheduled time. If it doesn't, the cron marks the post as failed after 24 hours.
- You can re-trigger any failed post from the Content tab.
